The Ajax ReX 2 is an intelligent radio signal range extender designed to expand the coverage area of the Ajax wireless security system with support for alarm photo verification. It can connect to the hub via radio communication (Jeweller and Wings protocols) and via Ethernet cable.

- Expanded Coverage: Boosts the range of Ajax devices, potentially expanding the total radio network coverage up to 35 km² when using up to five ReX 2 units within a single system.
- Photo Verification Support: Works with MotionCam and MotionCam Outdoor detectors, transmitting snapshots of events to users and monitoring stations. The first photo can be delivered in just 10 seconds, helping to reduce false alarms.
- Reliable Communication Protocols: Utilizes proprietary, dual-radio protocols: Jeweller for instant alarms and events, and Wings for the batch transmission of images, ensuring reliable data delivery even with weak or unstable signals.
- Dual Communication Channels (Radio & Ethernet): The ReX 2 can connect to the hub using a wired Ethernet connection as a primary or secondary communication channel, offering enhanced reliability in environments with heavy concrete or steel obstructions.
- Backup Power: Features a built-in 2 Ah Li-Ion backup battery, providing up to 38 hours of autonomous operation in case of a power outage.
- Autonomous Operation: ReX 2 acts as an additional intelligent control panel. If the connection to the main hub is lost, it can take control of connected devices within its group (e.g., activating sirens based on sensor alarms).
- Anti-Sabotage: Includes protection against fraud, jamming detection, and a tamper on the casing to notify users of any attempts to open or dismantle the device.
- Compatibility: Operates exclusively with Ajax Hub 2 and Hub 2 Plus control panels running OS Malevich version 2.12 or later.
