The Ajax KeyPad is a wireless touch keypad designed to control the security modes of the Ajax security system by entering a digital code. It is installed indoors and provides convenient and secure access control.
Key Features and Functions
- Control: The keypad allows users to arm and disarm the system, activate night mode, and manage individual security groups using digital codes.
- Security: It supports the “duress code” feature, where entering a special code simulates a disarming action but secretly sends an alarm signal to the monitoring company. There is also protection against code guessing (the keypad locks after three incorrect attempts), a tamper switch to protect against opening and dismantling, and data transmission is protected by encryption.
- Indication: LED indication informs about the current security status, malfunctions, and loss of communication with the hub. The built-in buzzer notifies users of alarms, entry/exit delays, and other events.
- Communication: It uses the two-way Jeweller radio protocol for communication with the hub at a distance of up to 1,700 m (5,500 ft) in open space.
- Power Supply: It operates on four pre-installed AAA batteries, providing up to two years of autonomous operation.
- Installation: It is easily mounted on the SmartBracket mounting panel without the need to disassemble the device body and connects to the system by scanning a QR code via the mobile application.
