Yerevan Zoo
The zoo is an important public space where visitor flows, animal welfare conditions, and the operational activities of staff are managed simultaneously.
Yerevan Zoo includes both indoor and outdoor areas, animal enclosures, walking zones, food courts, and service areas. The zoo welcomes a large number of visitors daily, especially during weekends and holidays. This multifunctional environment requires a clearly managed and reliable security system.
Within the framework of this project, the security infrastructure was modernized through the installation of more than 120+ surveillance cameras, ensuring full visibility and effective monitoring across the entire territory.

Problems
Limited animal safety monitoring
There was no complete visibility within the animal holding areas. It was difficult to quickly detect behavioral changes in animals or identify potentially dangerous situations.
Slow incident response capability
Security personnel did not have a centralized monitoring system. As a result, responses to incidents were delayed due to the lack of real-time information.
Challenges in monitoring entrances and exits
At the entrance areas, it was not possible to accurately track visitor numbers or understand the direction of visitor flow.
Solutions
Implementation of a video surveillance system
High-quality surveillance cameras were installed to cover the entire territory, ensuring continuous 24/7 monitoring.
Centralized monitoring
A control center was established where security personnel can monitor the situation in real time.
Rapid response system
The security team receives immediate alerts in case of suspicious activity, significantly reducing potential risks.
Night vision capability
The installed systems provide high-quality imaging even in low-light and nighttime conditions, ensuring comprehensive protection of the area.
Implementation Stages
Area assessment and planning
A complete analysis of the territory was carried out, identifying critical and high-risk zones and determining the optimal camera installation points.
System design
A technical solution was developed based on the specific characteristics and requirements of the area.
Installation and integration
All surveillance cameras were installed and connected to a unified monitoring system.
Configuration and system integration
Following the installation process, the software configuration and system setup were completed.
Conclusion
As a result of the implementation of the video surveillance system at Yerevan Zoo, a safer, more controllable, and more efficient management environment has been established.
Thanks to the installation of modern surveillance cameras, full 24/7 monitoring of the entire territory has been ensured, significantly enhancing the safety of both visitors and animals.
The implemented solution has enabled rapid response to emergency situations, effective monitoring of visitor flow, reduction of security risks, and improvement of the zoo’s overall operational management.
The system has also contributed to better supervision of staff workflows and improved overall discipline throughout the facility.
As a result, Yerevan Zoo now operates with a modern, reliable, and technologically advanced security infrastructure that meets the high safety standards required for public spaces.
